Will the May 14 Posse Scholar graduation ceremony take place as scheduled?

Where is the ceremony

IF PERMITTED, the May 14, 2020 Posse Scholar graduation ceremony will be held at Freeman Auditorium with a reception immediately following at  Woodward Way.    Both venues are located in the Woldenberg Art Center. See the map below or click this link for an expanded view of the area.  Event details and/or changes will be posted to this page.

Should I change my travel plans?

While we do not feel we have enough information yet to make a final decision on Posse graduation activities, we ask that students and families ensure their travel plans are as flexible as possible should cancelation be required

In the event, that we are able to proceed with Posse graduation activities at the Woldenberg Art Center, you should follow the guidelines below for directions and event parking.

Where should I park?

Note that on-street parking for the building, though available, will be very limited.  Therefore, be advised that parking in restricted areas without a parking pass could result in your vehicle being ticketed or booted.  Also, overflow parking will be available in the University’s Diboll parking garage.  You will need to purchase a parking pass and display it in your vehicle in order to avoid ticketing in certain zones.  Passes can be obtained at the ground floor office of Diboll’s Parking Garage (a separate building across Janet Yulman Way).

What should I know about parking guidelines?

Tulane University requires all individuals parking on campus to either purchase a permit or park in a metered space. All vehicles parked on the uptown campus between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, are required to display a University Parking Permit or park in a metered parking place.

Visitors may purchase a one-day parking pass at the Traffic Office during business hours. Visitors may also purchase passes online. For more information about this option, please click this link.  Parking permits are not required when guests park in timed or metered spaces, provided the time limit is obeyed and the parking meter is not expired. Maximum time limits for parking meters are posted on each meter.

Limited permits are available for purchase in the Tulane Traffic Office on the ground level of Diboll. Permits are limited to after 3pm weekdays in the Diboll Garage, Levels 3-5 for $90 per year. Only community/alumni and family Reily members are eligible to purchase these special parking permits. Members must present their Reily keytag at time of purchase.

For additional parking information call 504-865-5424 or visit the Parking Services website.
