Every year, The Center for Academic Equity partners with the Posse Foundation and Posse Scholars to facilitate an annual weekend-long PossePlus Retreat.  During the PossePlus Retreat weekend, a cross-section of the campus community — students, faculty and administrators, and community leaders — come together to talk about the topic on a national, campus, and personal level. By creating a safe space for dialogue between campus community members who may not ordinarily interact with one another, retreats today have become an important forum to engage in social, cultural, and political issues.

If you are not a Posse Scholar but have interest in attending this retreat, please connect with Meonyez Goodwin.

Schedule:

The PossePlus Retreat 2023: Truth or Consequences? will explore the role of truth and its impact on key structures within our society such as education, politics, the criminal justice system, elections, and our lives. We will consider: What is truth? Why does fact get questioned? What are the consequences of disputing the truth? What role does social media and the news play? Who do we trust to tell the truth? Who do we hold accountable?

The PossePlus Retreat 2023 will be held the upcoming Spring on Friday, March 3rd through Sunday, March 5th.
