We understand and believe that AI can be a useful tool when drafting documents and materials necessary for college, especially for applications for funds just like ours. However, if used improperly, the use of AI can also hamper one’s ability to develop necessary skills for life after college and can lead to unintended problems like plagiarism. To help grant fund applicants navigate this, here is our policy on the use of AI in respect to our Summer Grant Fund Application.
You are allowed to use AI to:
- Help design and format application materials.
- Check grammar, misspellings, etc.
- Organize thoughts, points, and ideas.
You are NOT allowed to use AI to:
- Generate submitted material.
If it can be determined beyond a reasonable doubt by a reasonable person that AI was used in your submitted material, your application will automatically be disqualified from consideration. If you are unsure about any of your materials and their adherence to the policy, please feel free to email us.
