Summer Grant Fund

Research & Idea Symposium

The Internship and Research Fellowship Applications are currently open and will close on March 15th.

The Center for Academic Equity can support you during your summer with as much as $1,500 if you are pursuing original undergraduate research, a short-term study abroad experience, or an unpaid or minimally paid internship. We offer a variety of grants, scholarships, or stipends to cover associated expenses. Supporting these opportunities is important to the Center, as we believe the hands-on experiences can provide you with pathways to future careers and prepare you for employment and graduate school admissions.

If you are rewarded a summer grant or fellowship, you will reflect on and summarize your experience by presenting at the annual NTC Research & Idea Symposium.

We understand and believe that AI can be a useful tool when drafting documents and materials necessary for college, especially for applications for funds just like ours. However, if used improperly, the use of AI can also hamper one’s ability to develop necessary skills for life after college and can lead to unintended problems like plagiarism. To help grant fund applicants navigate this, here is our policy on the use of AI in respect to our Summer Grant Fund Application.

You are allowed to use AI to:

  • Help design and format application materials.
  • Check grammar, misspellings, etc.
  • Organize thoughts, points, and ideas.

You are NOT allowed to use AI to:

  • Generate submitted material.

If it can be determined beyond a reasonable doubt by a reasonable person that AI was used in your submitted material, your application will automatically be disqualified from consideration. If you are unsure about any of your materials and their adherence to the policy, please feel free to email us.

If you have any questions or concerns, please email us at cae@tulane.edu and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
