Career Wave Tulane Takeover Grant

Each fall and spring, Tulane offers students the opportunity to participate in Tulane Takeovers across the nation. You can travel to major cities where a significant population of Tulane's friends, parents, and alumni are located to explore career and internship options.

The Center for Academic Equity offers funding to cover airfare, food, lodging, and business attire to students in our cohort (people of color, first-generation college students, LGBTQ+, DACAmented/undocumented, College Track scholars, and Posse scholars) who would otherwise be unable to attend a Tulane Takeover

How do I apply for the Tulane Takeover Grant?

You should make a detailed and specific budget proposal that clearly show how the grant will be used. In most cases, grant recipients are required to submit receipts and other proof that the funds have been used according to the original budget.

How soon do I revieve a decision on my application?

Students will receive a decision by email within INSERT TIMELINE HERE. However, this timeline may be delayed if additional documentation is requested, etc.

If accepted, how do I collect my funds?

Students who are funded by this program will work with the Center for Academic Equity to complete any necessary for disbursement of their award. All applicants will receive a follow-up survey after their award decision.

Your grant will be reported to the Internal Revenue Service and may, in many cases, be considered taxable income (please contact our office or see IRS publication 970 for additional information).
