CAE Emergency Grant

Emergency funding is available to assist students in responding to unforeseen financial hardships/emergencies that adversely impact their academic success. The mission of the CAE Emergency Grant is to support BIPOC, DACA and Undocumented, LGBTQ+, first-generation college students who are full-time Newcomb-Tulane College undergraduates.

Students must apply for consideration, and if awarded, funds are as one-time grants that generally do not exceed $500.

The Emergency Fund will open on January 18, 2022

How do I apply for a CAE Emergency Grant?

You can make requests through the Center for Academic Equity WaveSync Form. Applications and award grants are considered on a rolling basis. The questions on the form include demographic information and a short narrative describing your need. Where applicable, you should upload supporting documents for your application to be fully considered.

How soon do I receive a decision on my application?

Students will receive a decision by email within three business days. However, this timeline may be delayed if additional documentation is requested, etc.

If accepted, how do I collect my funds?

Students who are funded by this program will work with the Center for Academic Equity to complete any necessary for disbursement of their award. All applicants will receive a follow-up survey after their award decision..
