What is the PossePlus Retreat?
Every year, The Posse Foundation and Posse Scholars facilitate an annual weekend-long PossePlus Retreat. During a PossePlus Retreat weekend, a cross-section of the campus community — students, faculty and administrators, and community leaders — come together to talk about the topic on a national, campus and personal level. By creating a safe space for dialogue between campus community members who may not ordinarily interact with one another, retreats today have become an important forum to engage in social, cultural and political issues.
PossePlus Retreat 2020 has been cancelled. The next Posse Plus Retreat will take place in Spring Semester 2021.
As is the case with many institutions, we have been closely monitoring and evaluating the ever dynamic and evolving concerns around reports of exposure to and transmission of COVID -19. In doing so, our primary concern is to make sure that we take all necessary measures to reduce risks and to protect the health and safety of our community members who are required to travel.
Therefore, out of an abundance of caution, the University decided to cancel the March 13-15 Posse Plus Retreat 2020. We are disappointed to share this news with you and this is the first time since its inception that the annual Retreat event will not take place.
We appreciate your interest and support of this annual event and we will post information about PPR 2021 on this page as the next event date nears.
