The Center for Academic Equity offers employment opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students. In partnering with these scholars to expand the work of academic access, we are able to cultivate new and innovative solutions to the challenges we face, extend the reach of the programs and resource we offer, and represent the many diverse and imaginative voices within the Tulane community.
The ConnecTU Summer Experiencce Peer Advisor position is a live-in staff position, which requires that the mentor live in the same residential hall, offer programmatic support, and participate in the NTC Summer Experience components throughout the week. The peer mentors are key staff members who work together to develop a community conducive to student success by providing academic support, creating social and cultural programming, engaging Summer Experience students in discussions about diversity and inclusion, encouraging positive behaviors and addressing behaviors that are detrimental to the individual and/or community.
Posse student interns supports CAE's Posse Scholars and their programming. Interns will provide event support around setup and breakdown for Posse events such as big dinners, PossePlus Retreat, graduation, etc., support student participation around posse events by communicating with and engaging students, provide leadership for all CAE sponsored events created by Posse Scholars, and serve as an ambassador of the Posse Program across campus by representing CAE and the Posse program at events, workshops, etc.
Undergraduate Administrative Assistant II is a semester-long position that provides administrative and clerical support for the mission of the Center for Academic Equity. Working closely with the Administrative Secretary, the Undergraduate Administrative Assistant II duties may include: answering and making phone calls, taking and distributing messages, organizing and coordinating meetings, handling inquiries and incoming work requests, photocopying, scanning and faxing, sending emails, preparing and sending outgoing mailings and packages, typing documents and correspondence, graphic design for posters and communications, checking and entering data, and various tasks as needed.
Social Media Intern is a semester-long position that provides administrative and clerical support for the mission of the Center for Academic Equity. Working closely, with the program coordinator, this intern will help in managing CAE's Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts, curate and schedule content, and analyze campaigns using in-app and social media management program analytics to gauge success. This intern will also provide event and program support as necessary.
