Proud TU Be First Emergency Fund

Emergency funding is available to respond to unforeseen financial hardships/emergencies for first-generation Newcomb-Tulane College undergraduate students to close gaps in funding for items or circumstances that impact student success. Generally, funds will be given as one-time awards and will not exceed $500.

How do I apply?

Students can make requests through an online application on a rolling basis, and applications will be reviewed as they are received. The form includes demographic information, a short narrative describing the need, and a section for upload of supporting documents. Funding is available until April 29, 2020.

How long will the process take?

Students will receive a decision by email within three business days. However, this timeline may be delayed if additional documentation is requested, etc.

What will happen after the grant application?

Students who are funded by this program will work with the Center for Academic Equity to complete the necessary paperwork for disbursement of their award. All applicants will receive a follow-up survey after their award decision.
