Equity Thursdays offer weekly presentations by members of the Tulane University community and invited guests from Greater New Orleans. Faculty, Students, Staff, Alumni and Friends share information regarding topics of academic access. The sessions discuss cutting edge research, distinctive academic opportunities and offer a forum for reflection on the intersection of identity and the academic experience. The Center for Academic Equity serves lunch (free of charge) from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. We welcome students, faculty, and staff to come to Equity Thursdays and join the Center for Academic Equity community.
This semester, Equity Thursdays will return as a mix of in-person (both active and passive) events and online meetings. Active in-person Equity Thursdays will be held outside in the same format as years past while adhering to social distancing guidelines. Passive in-person Equity Thursdays will take the form of in-person, self-guided activities that participants will be able to move through at their own pace. Online Equity Thursdays will take place over Zoom. Specific details about each Thursday can be found on our Wavesync page.
